Try a Sidecar, using Austin 101 for a classic, tart and dry cocktail slightly sweetened with a sugar rim. The Hotel Ritz in Paris claims to be the inventor of The Sidecar Cocktail during the 1920’s. One theory about how the sidecar got its name, is it was named for a customer who arrived at the location in a motorcycle sidecar. Another idea is the last bit left in the shaker is served in a shot glass on the side – a sidecar.
